Help for Haiti

I have several friends who have expressed a desire to help the people of Haiti, but aren't sure how to do that. One friend of mine, Robin, would love to go over and help out, but that isn't possible right now. I think that we can all keep the people of Haiti in our thoughts and prayers, but we can also help them to rebuild by making donations to reputable agencies like the Red Cross. The official site is www.redcross.org
.
You can also donate through the LDS church. The website for the church is lds.org and you can find a link there to make a donation. Service or donations of any kind not only helps those we are giving to, but it helps us to become better people.

I hope we all take the time to be thankful for the blessings that we have in our lives. Not only the conveniences and luxuries that we enjoy, but also the loved ones that we have around us.

Much love,
Tracy

I've been volunteering close to home where I hope I am making a difference by helping loved ones living close to me.

I decided that I know people right here that need help almost as much as those in Haiti.

I took my example from Rob, who has spent many hours over the past few years, helping her grandma to stay in her own home for the last days of her life.

And Kim, who has held the hand of a coworker as she passed away. Then welcomed that same coworkers husband into her own family until the day he passed away.

Yes, we can all do something to help. And we should all focus on what we have, not on what we don't have.
