Thursday I had another CT scan. Another tool to check the status of the cancer. The doctors couldn't feel anything in the lymph nodes and couldn't see anything in my pharynx. The CT scan will (hopefully) confirm that the cancer is gone.
Friday I went to a Neil Diamond concert with Jared. A week ago I wouldn't have been able to make it. I am so happy I felt well enough to go. It was a ton of fun. He put on a good show and it was mellow enough that a cancer chick could handle it ;)
Yesterday was our family Christmas party. We started a new family tradition of making gingerbread houses. A contest of sorts between families. It was fun.
Today I slept most of the day. Our home teacher came over this evening and told us a great Christmas story about a family giving selflessly to another family. So many people have been generous with me and my children in our lifetime, but the past few months have been amazing. And as Christmas gets closer, I see people giving to others all around. I love this about Christmastime. When we give to others, we receive so much more in return. I wish I could do more this year for others. One day I will be healthy again, and able to work, and able to help others in need. For right now, it is very humbling to the recipient of so much kindness.
