I had the scope (not comfortable). The doctor could see no sign of the tumor whatsoever! And no scar tissue either. What does that mean? It means that the tumor that was in my pharynx is gone. dead. destroyed. There may still be tiny cancer cells in my body, so I still have to go through the 9 weeks of chemo after Christmas. I will also have the lovely scope done every 2 months for 2 years, to make sure the tumor hasn't returned. There is a 20% chance that it will return, but if it doesn't come back in 2 years, it is very unlikely that it ever will.
I went to my dads house and told him. He didn't say anything, he just cried. Cried and cried. It is quite emotional to see your father cry. I love my dad so very much!
Tomorrow I have a CT scan to see what is going on with my lymph nodes. They seem to be back to normal, but we will see.
